Skin Food Lip & Cheek Vs Stila Convertible

So the Skin Food Lip & Cheek has been on my list since I saw the release pictures. People were also putting up their swatches and their mixes like CRAZY on this Korean forum I frequent, and it was driving me MAD!

And though I had put it on my list for my friend to pick up for me while she was in Korea…I didn’t get it until after she got back (end of July), and didn’t really get to use it until mid-July. (and haven’t gotten around to posting it, though it was partially drafted, until now!)

But boy, I do NOT regret it at all!

I actually have Pomegranate as well, but haven’t opened that baby up yet.

So lets get on with the show~

Yes the Heart is there for a reason XD

[shade 2] Berry 6grams of product. The date that you see in the picture is the production date.

The product doesn’t look anywhere NEAR this pretty anymore *sniffs* But it goes to show how much I love it!

Then I thought, Hm…Do I have anything similiar to the product colour? Why YES yes I do :P The colouring is nearly a complete match to the Konad packaging.

You can kind of see dots on the product. What I found on both the Stila and the Skin Food is that they both ‘sweat’, at least that is what it looks like when you first open the product. But it evaporates, and you are left with the product, and only the product.

I do like the case for the Stila.

notice the 4.25g?

I forgot to open the Stila…

Here is the comparison for all 3~ The Stila is just a TAD lighter than the Skin Food. (I used the Stila a few times, but had to photoshop it to make it look prettier, cause otherwise the Skin Food outshone it~)

Just so show the comparison of the product amount.

Really, the two are VERY similar. Though not in price nor packaging. They apply well on the cheeks, buildable colour.

One thing I did notice though, is that the Skin Food is just a tad more pigmented on the lips than the Stila. Odd cause when I swatch, or do my cheeks, the Stila seems like it is more pigmented.

In any case, I love it. I love both, but seeing as I like good deals, I would fall more to the favour of Skin Food. But seeing as I would have to get it imported, (we don’t have Skin Food accessible in Toronto I believe) I would, in the extreme case, go for the Stila.

Just a note. I got the Stila on one of the promotions on their website through another blogger friend, who was able to hook me up with relay shipping. The Skin Food I was able to get my friend to bring back from Korea.

I don’t think I would ever be able to buy the Stila version for the regular price…cause…well…its Really pricey for my cheek budjet. But as for both, I love that they can be used for dual purposes~

Kinda redundant at several points in this review, but I hope you get what I mean :P

  1. I love the look of the Skin Food! It’s covetable, with its pretty packaging and the colour and texture looks great — now I’m sad it’s not available in Canada. Pooh!

    1. LOL
I know what you mean :(
I wish that the opened a Skin Food store in Canada…specifically in Toronto XD

  2. That’s really a pretty shade. I hate dipping my finger into those containers. I do love them though. It’s just hard to get them on my lips with my finger. I never use a creme on my cheeks. I’d have to use a lip brush to brush it on my lips.

    1. I hate sticking my fingers into things as well, but I gotta for this one~
The colour just makes me so giddy when I’m applying it.
