Week 3: It’s gotta be about the lips

Hello Lovely Readers :)

EDIT: Jan2814
Hello Readers, My Winner is Jenn Scarlet Beauty! I have just emailed her.
Thank you so much for entering this Birthday giveaway month :)

Welcome to the third week of the giveaways I am having this month (and I believe my last).

This is my birthday month, and I just wanted to share a bit of love with my readers.

So up for grabs is your choice of 3 Annabelle TwistUp lippies (though I would HIGHLY suggest you check out Royale as one of those three choices :P).

Annabelle Twistups are one of the products I have been fond of from the brand.

Annbelle TwistUp

Annabelle TwistUp
Vamp – Monroe – Cherry
(These three were provided for review purposes HERE)

To enter, which one is the shade you need to get? You can check them out on the website HERE

Unfortunately this is limited to Canadians, and this giveaway will end next Sunday at midnight. The winner will have 24 hours to respond to my email, where, if I do not receive a reply, I will then draw another winner. In participating in this giveaway, you agree to provide a shipping address, as I will purchase and have this giveaway shipped to you.

Lastly, this giveaway is sponsored with my own funds, as I wanted to share something with my readers. I’m thankful for those who have checked out this blog, not merely for the giveaway opportunity, but have followed me throughout this entire journey :) I do hope to get to know you more, if you choose to be cool and stick around~

Anyway, it is Monday, so I hope that you have a great one.

Week 2: It’s gotta be about the books!

Hi Everyone!
The Winner is Helencakes! I have emailed her.
Thanks for entering everyone :) I hope to check out the books that you have all mentioned!

Hello Lovely Readers :)

A long time ago, I started off writing about music, Korean Dramas, and books. So it would seem appropriate to me to include books in some way this month.

Since this is my birthday month, and I just wanted to share a bit of love with my readers.

I am a book worm, well I used to be more of a book worm before…now most of my reading time is dedicated to textbooks and journal articles on various philosophers. In any case, reading is another love of mine, so I wanted to have a prize that could support it. If you have read to this point, include the word ‘forever’ in your comment in some way, and that will earn you another entry :P

Well okay…

…you don’t HAVE to buy books, but you could :D

So this giveaway, I have a $30CAN Gift Certificate to Amazon.ca to give away. This is open to Canadians only, and will end in one week (12am Monday). The entry is simple, all you need to tell me in a comment is tell me what’s your favourite book. I know that can be a hard question, as I myself have several. Do the best that you can :) If you enter, and you have engaged with me on Twitter, you will earn another entry to the giveaway that I will manually add myself. Other than that, the winner will be selected, and you will have 24 hours to get back to me. If not, I shall draw a new name.

Thanks for visiting and good luck :)

Week 1: It’s gotta be nail polish…

Hello Lovely Readers :)

GIVE AWAY IS NOW OVER! Thanks for entering :)
Congrats to Simone K for winning

Welcome to the first week of the giveaways I hope to have this month.

This is my birthday month, and I just wanted to share a bit of love with my readers.

It seemed fitting to pick nail polish for the first week, as it is one of my loves. You will see that theme reoccur this month.

Anyway, I have a bunch of polish, mainly from sales (I never pay regular price for polish), or from friends who have passed parts of their stash along. As bad as it sounds, I have a Helmer full…and could probably use another.

Holiday Nails Just Be-Claus
(A set I received to review, posted HERE)

So up for grabs is one prize, a $30 Gift Certificate to Nail Polish Canada. They offer free shipping at the moment, and is a great place to snag some deals on nail polish, or random beauty/skincare bits.

This is open to those in Canada and the US (just keep in mind that shipping for orders under $50 is $12, and over $50 is free to the US. As long as you don’t mind that, you can enter~)

The giveaway will end in one week, and the winner will have 24 hours to get back to my email.

Lastly, this giveaway is provided for with my own funds, though that picture up there was of a kit I received from NPC.

GIVEAWAY IS OVER! Thanks for entering

Last week on Instagram…

If you are reading this on a reader, you might not see the Instragram photos. You will either need to check out my Instagram HERE, or check out the post. If you can see it, great :) If

I have accompanied mom making Kimchi for nearly 2.5 decades. And yet I can’t make Kimchi on my own. lol Anyway, Banchan is like a side dish for Korean meals. Usually a staple for most households…but rare in mine. I’m not sure why, as my mother can make all sorts of banchan (I mean we did own a Korean restaurant at one point), but we just don’t eat it. Weirdly enough that has changed in me lately. I guess what they say is true…as we get older our tastes do change. As I am creeping along to the end of my 20’s…I got to say that really does apply to me

took an eating break from cramming for exams, and started watching Running Man. Gong Yoo was on it, and I gotta say that man can be quite attractive looking at times…but what caught my eye more was the red bean steamed bun he was eating! I don’t even like Red Bean Buns, and I was drooling!!! lol

I was at Sephora Square One (needed to return things after my exam), when I stumbled across an early release of a Boxing Day 2013 sale item. If you see this Buxom set, for $12 it is quite the steal! Poodle goes on quite sheer, but is very pretty. And the brush is soft.

While cramming, I figured I would organize my shelves…I have a LOT of these Dollarama containers. They are 8 for $2, and though you need to be a tad careful when opening the lids (because they might snap) I love them. Clearly you can see how much I love them. I have more on the other shelf…

this was the giveaway that I was hosting. It is over now, but that was what I had up for grabs. Congrats to C, who already replied with the info that I needed to have it shipped out. Thank you to #BeautyUnited and Proctor & Gamble (P&G) for having those goodies up for us :D

Want to get your hands on a few Marcelle goodies?

Before I get to the title of the giveaway, let me get in to my background story.

You see, I wasn’t always a fan of drugstore products. In my teens years, drugstore products let me down time and time again, so I didn’t think they were worth it for my oily skin.

Then one day I won a contest through another blog for Annabelle Pigments (or it could have been the brushes I won through a website entry for the company, can’t remember at the moment which one was first). In any case, after a few years, I got to try out drugstore brands again.

And guess what?

I was pretty satisfied with what I had been able to try out. Then I had the opportunity to try out Marcelle, and it was game over. On any given day I use at the minimum 3 Marcelle products (facewash, BB cream and eyeliner) and 2 Annabelle ones (BB compact, eyeshadow). Its also great that I’ve found a few loves in their lines~ some that have been discontinued, and I’ve hoarded, or ones that have stuck around.

It helps that it is also a Canadian company, which means I feel a littler happier knowing I am supporting a Canadian brand.

In any case, the point is that I got to try out something for free, and then fell in love. That is what I am hoping to pass on to one lucky winner. Plus this gives me an opportunity to draw in new readers, who I hope will stick around even after the giveaway ends :)

So here are the three products I am giving away…

I think that every lady should have a great lipstick. I think that the Rouge Xpression Lipstick is a great one to try out. I also wrote about them HERE. But generally I love that they feel virtually weightless. More like a balm than a lipstick.

Photo A Day
(Pictured is the larger bonus version that I bought, but the one I have up for grabs is the regular size one)

I haven’t written a separate post on it, but I really do like using the Essentials Soothing Cleansing Water (I mentioned it HERE). I like that it doesn’t strip my face completely of natural moisture, but still work hard enough to clean the makeup off.

Finally I wanted to include the Xtension Plus Mascara. I wrote about them HERE. I really like the formula, and have enjoyed it to the extent of buying them again a few times (eliminating another brand I used to love, but cut ties with). I actually got another one recently from Marcelle…and I was so happy to receive another backup for the backups that I have :D

There are a few things you should note about this giveaway…

  1. This giveaway is hosted and funded by me
  2. This giveaway is only open to those in Canada (sorry other readers)
  3. If you win, you will need to provide an address that I can have the products shipped to which means…
  4. You will need to be over the age of 18 to enter
  5. The entries are quite simple, and I will verify if you have actually done what you have claimed (in the case of Liking on Facebook, or following on Twitter). I have disqualified people in the past, and it really is unfortunate to do
  6. If you win, you will have the option to select which colour you would like for the lipstick
  7. You will have 48 hours from the time of my email to email me back your address. Again I have disqualified a person before because they got back to me too late, so try not to forget to check back. If you have twitter, I will try and tweet you as well
  8. If I did this right, the giveaway ends in two week :)

Anyway that’s about it!

Good luck, and thanks for coming by~

Hey all~

As this posts, I will have started my 8 hours of tutoring highschool students…long day, but will be fun as my students are all fun kids.

So I did say I would have a mini giveaway…it was supposed to be at the end of May…but -___- life happens. Plus the prize I had…well it is more appropriate for the colder weather, so I’ll hold on to it for a little while longer.

Up for one lucky duck will be the 6 piece China Glaze set

Must live in Canada
Leave one comment telling me your favourite colour/shade/hue whatever
Include an email address in the form so that I can contact you
Understand that I will need your address to have the prize shipped to you

If you have won, I will send an email. You must reply within 48hours or I choose another winner.

This giveaway will end next Sunday, June 16th

Usually my giveaways are only open to previous commenters/followers on various social networking sites, but this time around I did leave it open to all. It would be nice if you follow me somewhere, but I’m not making you.

In the event that the kit is sold out when I select a winner next Sunday, I reserve the right to select something else within a $25-30 range (I’m hoping that things will be okay though, its a really nice set!).

*This giveaway is sponsored by my own funds. I guess seeing as I won a few things recently as well, a way for me to put back some of the good out there :) *
