First I would like to note that I am not a Makeup Artist, or an expert in any way. This blog serves as an outlet for me to share my own person experience with my audience, and the struggles I have with oily skin. So I am merely a fanatic, though I hope that in the future I will be able to take courses to get a certification in both makeup and esthetics.
I do on occasion receive an email to review something. For those opportunities, it is up to my discretion whether or not I will end up publishing the review. There are times when the products don’t actually suit me, and I cannot feature them. I mean what can I write about it? So please understand that though I am thankful, I am under no obligation to write about it.
In the event that I do, I will do my best to post them in a timely manner. Life happens, and I am a student, so delays are expected. In those cases I will let you know. If you are proposing skincare products, please understand that I would like to use them for about a month before I get in to starting the review.
I have not yet come across an offer to do a paid post (not that anyone would want to with my primitive writing). But if I ever do a paid sponsored post, I will definitely let my readers know. I mean, the whole point is that I strive to provide reviews in an honest manner, to help an individual to make a decision, or just to introduce a new product to them.
In any case, I don’t want to be led astray by reviews that I read. So I don’t want to do the same to others. That being said, I also encourage my readers to check out additional links that I post from time to time, or other great resources for additional feedback.
As of August 2013, I have been invited to be one of the 30 bloggers to take part in the P&G BeautyUnited program (Brand Ambassador of sorts). As such I do/will receive products from time to time, and other fun opportunities. I will have the following disclosure listed in each post:
*Disclosure: I am a #BeautyUnited blogger. As part of my affiliation with this group I receive
products and special access to P&G events. The opinions on this blog are my own*
I do have small blog sales once in awhile (like once a year?). So I would like to note that I, on a personal principle NEVER sell products that I have been sent for review purposes. I may pass things on to friends, and find new homes for them if I cannot accommodate them, but I will not exchange them for cash in any way.
