in a nutshell... 
feel free to delete this. I’m not sure what rasilla likes playing.. i’m not into games much so i’m really picky. the easy answer to your question is “deus ex go”. basically just an offline puzzle game where the only thing you can do is move your character to the destination point. you have to step on buttons and stuff to clear your path – it’s not baby easy either. i like it and can put it down anytime. it was sufficiently long. they made lara croft go and hitman go which are the same style but with diff. characters. i bought all three on sale for like 3 bucks canadian you should’ve told me earlier :( look up some youtube vids and give this a shot. those three games put together are like 200 levels and that should kill loads of time.
right now final fantasy tactics is on sale for $8.50, probably one of the greatest rpgs ever made and very long and offline. but it hasn’t been updated in 2 years and isn’t even widescreen on new iphone. i’m debating to buy.. dunno. the lack of support offends me but the game itself is allegedly incredible.
My friend fell in love with ‘scribblenauts unlimited’ $7. basically i hate it so she loves it. check it out. cutesy looking puzzle game. i can’t be more enthusiastic cuz it’s dumb.
“world of goo” is this rolling screen goop game she loves too. $7. i’m not into weird themed games but the reviews are indeed great.

my friend really loves “final fantasy brave exvius” and if you like saving points or level up to get new armour you can try this. FREE but has in app purchases to achieve goals quicker.
Sega started making old games free. Crazy Taxi and Sonic are two games you can get but they are NOT offline. they require internet to serve up advertisements. that’s why they became free.
“agar.io” was really popular for a while and was on house of cards when frank underwood played on his phone with the democrat rival. just circles eating each other or something it’s silly kids play it a lot.

if you liked zelda on nintendo there’s a game called “oceanhorn” which is for sure based off it. great graphics and story apparently. $10.99cad.
people who are into pointless upgrade my outfit games like maple story will love “dragon quest 8” on ios, best part being that it was designed for vertical screen usage! perfect for phones. unfortunately horrendously expensive at $28cad.
