A love letter to Daiso…

Dear Daiso,

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Please open up in Toronto right now!!!!

Alright, so I’m not good at writing poems of any kind. But, Daiso will definitely be one of the things I will miss, when I eventually leave this place. Though I know there is one in Vancouver, I don’t know how my future plans will work out.

In any case, since Daiso is on my way home, I like to pop in whenever I am bored…or want to spent a few bucks.

One of the things I am obsessed with recently, is this plastic organizer. Only 1,500w (~$1.60CAN), I have been using it as my marking pencil case.

Then there are the cute stickers that they have…

I’m a huge fan of the stars right now. With some shine, they are attracting the little kiddies. Plus, it helps that you get a lot for a little over a dollar. Depending on if it is fancy, you will get 9 sheets of stickers.

Then there is this. 3,000w (~$3.30CAN).

I took two of these back in November. Not too big, not too small. You can also stack them. You just pop off the lid, and slid the next two sets in. Great to quickly stash things.

then…comes my addition to writing thingamabobs…

This set is 3000w (~$3.30). I like them, but you need to be a little more delicate when writing. The tip is squishier, so you can flatten the tip in no time. I don’t let my students near these. These are only for me!

These ones are 2000won. More for doodling. The wider part is pretty pigmented, so it can seep through.

Blurry, since I couldn’t get my phone to cooperate with me, but the second set is far sturdier, and I don’t have to be as gentle as the other set. But, I do the like first set a little bit more.

They also started stocking Hello Kitty Products. Yes I paid a little over $2CAN for a Hello Kitty keychain. Yes, I think I am weird too. But dangit, it was cute. They also have hair ties, and other misc things.

Thanks to the #daiso hashtag I found that Daiso had Green Tea Pocky in stores! So, I had to get some. So yummy xD

So…
That is what I have been playing with recently. My Daiso is a little on the small side, but I make do.

Hmmm…should go check out if they got any new stock today…

haha…toodles!

  1. I’m tempted to go to daiso now. gawd. Did you know people in china don’t use tippex (white out)? They stick a piece of clear tape on, and then rip the tape off quickly thus taking some of the paper (and thus the writing) off. I think youtube has this. Everybody in china does it and it drove my english teacher friend crazy when she was there.

You’re giving me one of those very good stickers. The hello kitty keychain is ridiculous. Your handwriting is very good in comparison to mine~

    1. I didn’t know that. I will youtube now!! xD reminds me of the gritty eraser days. Using that was supposed to rip up the paper that had pen ink on it, and “erase” it.

      lol
my handwriting is horrible. That was me trying to be make it pretty xD
