What better day than to share Holographic Hero…

To my readers…hope you enjoyed this day…I had a little bumps that were annoying, but for me this is like any other day lol

Anyway I just wanted to share Gosh Cosmetics Holographic Hero with you all.

This is by no means a new polish…but a re-release of the original cult favourite.

This was put out several months ago, but I could not find it. Every display I came across, there were always two spots empty…until a few weeks back when I snagged it for $5!

I was super excited. Unfortunately it was a little short lived…

I’ll get to that later, but let us enjoy the swatch spam first…

I could not for the life of me, get the holo to show up in my pictures. I tried another camera…a different angle…all was a pain in the butt! I finally hit the gold…but…took me awhile -___-

Once I got the lighting and angle right, I went nuts taking a bunch. I think I took over 60 pictures…

Anyway, you could kind of see in the bottle shot, that there was some writing on the cap of the bottle.

The thing is, this polish is advertised as a 24hr wear type of deal. Basically you aren’t expected to wear a top coat with this.

One reason I found for this was that it scattered the holo effect just a tad. I mean most people wouldn’t notice, but seeing as I am a huge holo nut…well…I noticed.

I tried to take pictures of the difference in the pictures…but I don’t think it is that noticeable. The lower half of my nails (towards the tips) will have top coats on them, where the upper half will not.

You can kind of see what I mean in this shot. The lower half of my nails look more silver than holo, not just because of the angle…

I tried to show you what I meant on one nail, but I think the direct shot overly shows this effect.

Anyway as a whole hand shot, you can’t REALLY tell…but I can. So I wasn’t too happy. However with the top coat it does last longer…I mean without a top coat, I got a few hours wear. At some points I had accidentally dragged my nails across a piece of paper, and POOF, part of it was gone. Or it had chipped at some unknown point. Twas a pain.

So if you are a huge nut for the polish, then you might be able to find it somewhere in Toronto. I would suggest that you go to more obscure SDM stores to find them. By now they will be in the same area as the regular bottles, so you might just want to take a peek every time you go. I know I have this bottle, but I can’t help but take a peek at the display…just to see if another bottle is there lol
