I think its the stress of family issues.

Just hoping that everything goes smoothly, and I can put it behind me start Nov.11…just hoping and praying things go well.

I had another ridiculous day today…
so just a mini rant….question?

If you are the driver, and will be driving a few others, wouldn’t you take care of the issue by calling and arranging?

I was forced to do it by the driver…and well things got to out of hand in the end, that I…was forgotten/mistaken, and left behind. They did try and make it up to me…but…it just pissed me off more.

Cause of this ride, I had to leave tutoring early, thus meaning I lost out on making money, and wasted time. And missed out on training that I needed as a SS teacher.

It…wasn’t a good day…
But I liked what Jnie wrote for me…and…well it really can’t rain forever right? so..just hoping that my rain will go away soon :)

Besides, all we can really do as humans…is look up, and towards the better days/things/life.

Anyway…thinking of all the giveaways that I have won this past year…I thought…maybe…I need to level out the playing field/restore Karma? (anyone see that episode of House 2 weeks back? Dad thought that Karma was getting back at him, and in order to restore Karma in his life he…well…you got to watch the episode XD) I thought that I should at the very least do a mini giveaway. So here it is.

The rule is simple. You must have commented on my blog. It doesn’t matter if you commented like…a billion years ago, or yesterday. You should have commented already. (Therefore any comment that is received after this post…well…unfortunately doesn’t qualify you.) Second ‘rule’ is…well not really a rule, but just a question…how do you deal with issues that seem to uproot you in your life? I have only very briefly mentioned that I have been going through a lot recently…and…its been a tad hard to deal with. Partly cause I am emotional, and partly because…it is the story of my life.  Anyway thats all for rules.

Now what is the giveaway? Well, its a small giveaway right…and…seeing as I love my Posh so far (though I only have two) I thought I would give away $10worth of brushes. lol I know I know, not much, cause depending on what you get, it could be one brush, or 2+.

Though there is a restriction on this. I want to give away two sets of prizes, which means that I am going to select brushes that fit under the height restriction of 2cm, so I can ship it for much cheaper, thus use that extra money towards the prizes.But I haven’t decided if I want to give away two, must consult my bank account first (lol I figure I can sacrifice one OCC pigment at IMATS and put it towards the mini giveaway right…)

And to explain why I chose previous commenter are my limit…I have read a handful of blogs, where they opened it up, and well a single comment winner was selected, and never heard of again. But really, the giveaways are a small part of what we as bloggers can do, to say thanks.

Also I say commenters, because I myself to not use that Google application that everyone is using, plus it doesn’t agree with the WordPress platform.

Most, if not nearly ALL blog giveaways have the REQUIREMENT of being a Google public follower, which is fine if you have the application available to you…in my case, seeing as I don’t (for my own blog), I don’t have that requirement. It is also one reason as to why I avoid submitting to giveaways that have that requirement, no matter how great the prize is.

Not that it is bad, mind you, just that because I can’t have it on my own blog (ugh WordPress, PLEASE get it…though I guess it makes sense why you can’t, cause blogger and google are like best friends :T)

Anyway that is my messed up, round about, explanation of why I have the commenter requirement. If you have problems with it…bite me. lol…yes…

Anyway I only found out today (cause my flyer this past weekend, didn’t have the small booklet…) that Pharma Plus is having yet ANOTHER $3 off Posh Brushes coupon in their booklet :D
(I forgot to take a picture of it, but its part of their booklet, so just go in and don’t forget to show the cashier the page w the coupon, otherwise they will not ring in the $3 off!)

I’ve been meaning to get a retractable brush for some time now, so it was wonderful that I was able to snag the last one at a location. Depending on how it works (just washed, and it drying now, so guess I’ll be able to use it tomorrow), I will hopefully pick up a few more. I do know that I LOVE the Posh Brow Brush (previous Post). a staple when using the So Foxy eyeshadow, from Annabelle, to do my brows.

And though I do like using the Annabelle Lip Brush (Post) I do like that the Posh one is retractable. It just appeals to me more that way. Though of course it can get gross if the product gets stuck inside the retractable part, in which cause sucks…but HEY! its only a buck +taxes :P therefore EASILY replaceable! lol…oh dang.

Few other things that caught my eye…

Update on the glasses from Clearly Contacts…

Well I went to Costco and Hakim, and they pretty much refused to do the adjustments (re bending the frame to fit correctly, cause it was pretty warped.) They mainly refused because they didn’t want to take on the responsibilty in the event something did go wrong…and…SNAP.

I know my main person in North York would do it…but…he is far…and charges a tad much for his glasses. Which is another reason why I don’t go to him anymore…nice guy…but…expensive :T

So I did mini surgery on my own with the frame. Unfortunately I was watching last weeks episode of Grey’s…and held it too close to the heat for too long…and totally messed up the coating on the lens…meaning…it got wrinkled and…well…when I put them on, it feels like I have a slightly oily smear (from a fingerprint or something), making it a little hazy. BUT I got them to fit correctly on my face. Not lopsided, and the warped part of the arms, and bridge are nearly 100% fixed (or at least as humanly possible seeing as I am no professional XD)

Mini break down. I got free shipping cause I got 3 frames. (I had originally wanted 5…it was so hard to cut the others out) And the reason, I do believe, that their frames are so freaking cheap, is because they are warped. All the frames I have received (4 in total including last years pair), have been warped in various degrees. Now if they are metal frames, to an extent they are easily fixable. Same with the Plastic Acetate, though it is a bit more risky.

But seeing as I paid around $132 for 3 pairs…MEH!

Actually I was planning on sending one back home to CC, cause it was pretty warped at the bridge (nose part), and both sides were pointing down from the bridge, but seeing as I fixed it…anyway Mama was saying that I should keep all of them anyway, cause its a deal.

Another thing to mention is that, well seeing as the acetate frames are warped to various degrees (and if you receive a non-warped one…I sooo dislike you! lol aka I’m jealous!) when you put them on, you will notice that things are VERY off. It may also make you think that your prescription was off or something. But for the most part, it is that the frames are offsetting the prescription, but once they are fitted properly, it should be like a regular pair of eyes.

I am not an optician, so I don’t know. And I haven’t gotten the prescription on my lens checked for accuracy. But I normally pay $450+ for glasses (frames & lens) because I have ridiculously bad eyesight.

A friend of mine has recently gotten her Lasic done (the most recently method) but lucky bum only has to pay half the price cause she is a med student! Argh. I wish I were smarter, and had been able to survive the that path.

Anyway I mention that, cause…I have been contemplating it for some time now. But so scared. Especially cause my boss has a friend who went under the knife…and…the doc make a small mistake on the second eye…20/20 in one…and -ve whatever in the other eye, which is permenant damage now :T

Anyway back to talking about CC.

I think I would pay for their regular price glasses, if I needed them. Sure beats paying what I used to pay. That is as long as their presciptions hold true, and the frames are legit (which we are assured they are, and the only reason one might believe it isn’t is cause of its price…but then again I did mention why they are cheap: ‘warp’)

I think that the F&F sale was a great idea, and though I don’t expect them to go 50% off in the future (though I do hope they do XD) they are pretty curteous, and have been able to handle themselves much better than when they first started advertising themselves last year.

If you ever need help, hop onto twitter, and chat with their rep. PG is usually the one on, I Believe, or the only one?? But she seems to know her stuff, and pretty dedicated to fix whatever problem that comes up, to the best of her abilities to help ensure that you have a good experience with them. So before writing them off, do try twitter out.

I completely forgot to mention…I could have sworn I did…but didn’t :T

I saw these in the WESTEND of Toronto, Cloverdale mall to be exact. I have since visited a bunch more, in Sauga, and DT, but have failed to find them in other stores. (thanks for bringing it up LEGO, I should have mentioned that in the beginning.)

I think I should mention though, the one is Cloverdale has an updated beauty section. Its not the drab, tired looking shelves that we are used to, but more like the Winners Beauty Section, clean and crisp white.

Another thing that should be mentioned, that I was reminded about from Sparkled Beauty (again link on the side —————>) is that WINNERS also sells ELF kits. The prices usually range from just under $10. For just lipgloss kits, or a full face kit (little bit of everything for the face). So potentially it could be cheaper, but it really depends on what you like.

If you break down the items though, as a kit, it works out to be the same as the us (a dollar a piece-ish)

Anyway if I find any other places, I will make sure that I update here!
But so far, Zellers on the Queensway, Zellers at Highpark (I don’t know why its called High Park when its actually at Dundas West Station :T) do NOT have them in stock. ONLY the Cloverdale one so far. So if you don’t see it at your local Zellers, try Winners if you happen to pass by one~

I was under the impression we were getting individual items…

But I think I misunderstood in the beginning.

Apparently Zellers will ONLY be selling kits.

The one kit (the one pictured alone) was being sold at $12.99 (or somewhere around that line.) A TAD expensive, yes, but depends on what you get in that kit :)

I’m personally rooting for individuals to come, cause then I can buy brushes and more shadows…but for now I enjoy Toma’s services at her online store Makeup Mix

They were supposed to be released November 1st I believe, but seeing as its only a few days away (I saw them yesterday), guess stores were getting a head start.

Also I got my Clearly Contacts order. The glasses look great…but the state of the frames themselves…ehhhh….But then again for the price I paid…

Well We will get to that review/post  hopefully before the weekend is over.
