Because it is the long weekend, I did want to share another place I like going for drinks and chatter with some friends.

Yelp reviews is for Sushi Hana food, but I’ll be talking about their alterego Junko instead

Basically, this place is Sushi Hana during the day, catering to sushi and other various foods. During the evening, the place is more known for its lounge-y fun, namely a Soju bar called Junko.

I mentioned Chilsung HERE, but Junko is the one we go to when we are in the area. I have gone a number of times, and have even had my birthday here once as well.

The place is relatively large, not as large as Ehwa, but seats a decent amount of people. There are two seaters, 4 seaters, and then they can arrange an area in the back for larger groups as well. Probably could seat about 14 comfortably.

It isn’t too loud inside, unless people play their drinking games. Generally I found it decent enough that my 3 friends and I can chat without without having to yell.

Service is alright. Generally speaking it isn’t as bad as some, but not awesome. I guess it would be average for bar service really. No major complaints.

Besides, I don’t go here for the service…I go here for the Anju! This is number two on my Korean bars in terms of Anju. They have a decent variety, and is satisfying. They do vary a bit, as there are times they offer cheese corn, and other times they don’t (which one of my friends is addicted to xD), but they are always yummy to snack on while drinking.

These are anju’s from two separate visits. I had a few more but they were bad pictures that I took.

Once in awhile they will also have Service Anju, which is just premium anju that is free. So we have had sliced fried chicken, and soups before.

I would suggest the Kimchi Pajun here, as it is crispy, not too salty, and rather large for the price you pay with the combo.

I would also sugges their Dukbooki, and their spicy chicken (I think that was what it was called).

In addition to the food, I like going here because of the fact that the washroom is not located in the basement! A huge deal when a lot of places usually make you go down some stairs. Depending on the nights it can get a little disgusting towards the later evening, but usually well kept.

If you are in the area, and looking for a place to check out for drinkins, checking out Junko for their Combo menu~ it shouldn’t disappoint.

The non-beauty items…

I love the Daiso Gift Baggies. I use them for all gifts that I give. I find that they are more expensive here. The blue and pink one is only ~$1CAN for 24, and the clear white one is ~$1CAN for 40. Steal!

I also needed new pens. I usually use 0.34 pens, and these ones are actually 0.3, just a tad thicker than what I usually use. Really don’t notice it. I can’t remember how much these guys were.

Some things never change~

Oh man…I had meant to get this up sooner! I am so behind one the stuff I wanted to share that Marcelle has shared with me…

Anyway today I wanted to talk about the Velvety Eyeshadow + Primer.

Now that that is out of the way…let’s get to the review!

This is Primer Rose

Dries pretty fast in my opinion, so if you use it, you will want to work with it quickly. Once it is dry, I actually use a cream product over it, before applying shadows. I need it to give the shadows something to grip to.

As for the 12 hour claim, I have oily skin, that is a fact that has plagued me until I found relief in UDPP. I do find that though it does last a fair amount of time, I cannot claim that the 12 hour held up for me. At 6 hours I noticed a decrease in intensity, and some fading at 8 hours. Personally as long as things last between 6-8 hours I am usually good, as I hardly stick with my makeup for longer than that.

For the swatches I did not use a cream base of the primers. It is just the primers alone.
The upper part is primed with Marcelle’s Primer, and lower part is primed with UDPP.
You can see that the Marcelle isn’t as intense as UDPP, but it does bring out the colour better than no primer at all, which you can see in the middle of the swatches horizontally. Because the product dries so quickly, I think that was one of the major causes of why it wasn’t as intense as my UDPP primer.

So what did I think?
I love Marcelle products, I do. But I cannot really come to love this one completely. First off I found it a little expensive, so though I like the soft colouring it leaves behind on the eye, I probably wouldn’t spend $16+taxes to get more. Perhaps if they were on sale for about $11. The other thing is, that with the amount of product, I probably would (and do I guess, cause I already own them and have rebought them…) buy the UDPP for the extra costs. It lasts forever, and as I said, they do grip shadows better.

However, if you are just looking for a soft wash of colour, I would say that these are something you should look in to. It feels nice as the name states, so in that sense I have no complaints.

I know the picture is blurry…it focused on my lashes lol. But look at the shimmer. Basically this is after 6 hours of wear, and this is Primer Rose under my two other shadows (actually the inner part is just Primer Rose. It isn’t actually really that white, must have been the lighting). The shimmer still looks great, without looking like I slept a night with my makeup on. So plus 1 for that :)
