Gosh Cosmetics Extreme Art Eye Liner

So I’ve been using the black for awhile now, but I’m not sure if its just my product…but it takes MUCH longer to dry than the gold. Maybe the pigmenting prevents it from drying faster? In any case I end up having to wait too long, and if I don’t give it enough time, I open my eyes (and dispite not having double lids) it gets everywhere. I have thus left it nearly to the end of my makeup routine, carried my curler, mascara, and Gosh liner to the bathroom to finish. After I apply my liner, I blast my face with the blow dryer, and then heat up my curler to finish my face. Yes a tad tedious, but at least I get a line that stays on for the day. (And for oily faced gals like me, that is a blessing.)
So Sparkled Beauty gave us a heads up on the Shoppers Drug Mart, two day sale on Gosh Cosmetics…

It is 40% off for TODAY (Saturday September 19) and TOMORROW (Sunday September 20).

They had another one…in June? which lasted a week, but the selection was poorer towards the end (of course…)

Anyway the point is…

I made an extra effort to go buy one of these…in black.

Except there is a mini story.
Shoppers Drug Mart, as stated in the flyer, starts the sale today. Except it doesn’t always start on Saturday, and sometimes they start their sales earlier depending on the stores.

Well last night I was at the Finch & Yonge Shoppers Drug Mart…
Noticed that the 40% off signs were already displayed along side the products, so I picked them up, and went to cash out.

The regular cashier told me that it wasn’t on sale yet. I told her that the signs were up, and she said really? Let me go check. But seeing as there was quite a line behind me, I told her that I would just go to the MU checkout and do it there. That was no problem for me (just that we had other things with us, and we ended up there).

Anyway we get to the other cashier…and this woman…She no-lie looked like she rolled out of bed and ran to work. It was astonishing because she works the MU counter for them.

The ridiculously long point is this.
She told me that though the signs were up, the system doesn’t switch over to the sale until 8pm.

It was 7:35pm.

So why the heck were the signs up THAT early?

And she bothers to ask me if I were going to buy them now. WTF and pay $32+tax on them? Heck NO!

And I pretty much stormed out cause I was wasting my time on useless people.

That said, I went to another location today…and almost had a heart attack when I didn’t see a display at this location. But upon closer inspection, noticed a TINY little display that held like at max 15 products in total. I paid a little over $20 for two of them.

And that is my boring story.

BUT have no fear there is a point to this, and WHY I had to wait.

These FREAKING KICK BUTT!~

I have swatched them MANY times when I was in stores, cause I couldn’t decide on colours. And EVERYTIME I swatched them, I washed my hands several times throughout the day (and proper hand washing, slowly counting XD) and though it decreased in intensity just a TAD, it still look GORGEOUS!

But…seeing as I am still a poor student, abusing my poor VISA, I had to wait for another sale to pick up the black #07 (I had the gold #13 in my possession already).

You will notice in the picture that the black is…smudged…which is my own impatient fault. But I didn’t have much more time to spend on waiting for it to dry :( I think its cause the product clumped in the beginning part of the line…(You can see the disaster in the video >_<)

Anyway if you are skeptical, as I was at first, do a swatch on the back of your hand when you remember. Wash your hands a few times, do whatever you want…and maybe that will convince you of the product, especially if you have oily faces like me XD

Small recap, they are sold at $16CAN at Shoppers Drug Mart. They do go on sale once in awhile for 40% off, otherwise I have seen 20% off as well. Not too bad for the price. Just make sure to even out the product when you create your line, otherwise it will take a really long time to dry, and you risk messing the initial line up (like I did in the video :()

Also regarding the video…I make a lot of mistakes (or just not liking how some parts came out…) but I don’t really have an editor, and its in AVI format…so…Molla…all I know is that its safest for me to do it all in one shot on my camera. So…as per the usual, bare with me & the nervous laughter…^_^
