So doing my nails, and seeing them done, makes me a tad happy.
Especially when I have I’m doing a test, I think “Hey, if all goes badly, at least my nails look great!”
-_-
Anyway, lately I’ve been wanting to try gradient nails. Its been popping up quite frequently for me, except I haven’t been able to grow my nails long enough to do it. (Nor find the patience and time to do it.)
But this afternoon, I got an email. I don’t check my Uni email account as frequently as I should, but I figured because I will be taking the makeup test tomorrow, I should just double check the time and room number.
But lo and behold, I got an email from the psyc advisor.
Toronto/GTA has a severe snow storm warning in effect, and because of that, they wanted to know if I wanted to postpone the test til mid-January.
And I jumped for it. I emailed her back, asking if I can, and told her after another email, that I would like to take the test in January. (Oh yes. THAT’s how scared I am to take this damned test. Not that more time will change anything.)
So officially I am done for this year! Woohoo. Of course it also means I will be studying on and off during the break so that I will be prepared and not forget all the crap I’ve been trying to cram into my brain.
So now I have time. I just need the nails to grow faster, and I’m set!
I just need to pick which method I want to go for, and I’m good to go :P
Because finding pictures, then uploading, and then crediting takes time I don’t want to spend…you’ll just have to click on the links. I suggest the Nail Juice one, cause the pictures are large and clear.
She puts glitter in between, to create a gradient.
I think this was the sponge method?? Messy, but outcome looks nice.
The following are picture tutorials
She uses a backwards method of applying polish to achieve the gradient effect
She does them in layers, then blends when using clear nailpolish. (There’s also a few other tutorials in this one.)
She layers all colours onto a sponge, then pats it onto the nail.

**Oh btw, my student told me today that Missha, the korean makeup brand, is having a sale. 50%/40%/30% off on select products, BUT only on the korean website. So if you know anyone in Korea who can send you the goods you might be interested in…might be good. Some of the stuff is going for CHEAP! I’m trying to get her to have her mom send us falsies.
They do have an American website…but its only for Americans.
Sigh. No Canadian love there :T
And I’m doing all I can to avoid buying from the new EDM special. I want a backup Flat Top brush…and…blush…But I need to be good. Good….
