So on Monday I got my Nalgene Shipment. They had a 50% off coupon 2 weeks back for a day or something…or the day I found out, they were expiring. So I put in an order for my first ever Nalgene bottle. They are the new Everyday bottles, meaning that they are bpa free, and safe to use. Though even their old ones, well hardly contained enough to start off with. Anyway I got two. My total came to 13.00. I bought the 32oz, and wish I had gone smaller. They are larger than I had originally imagined, and therefore makes it more difficult to tote around with me.
Anywway, one I’m keeping, the other…I haven’t decided yet. But I do like the idea that they had on their site. They took their bottle, and filled with it supplies! CLICK! That one is for First Aid, but they have a variety of kits available. They are all located under the “Wide-Mouth Bottles” heading: Kids, Heat, First Aid, Preparedness, Dog and Auto.

Through Minibookexpo, I claimed this book. I claimed it late July, but 4 weeks later, I had yet to see it. So I emailed the coordinator or MBE, and she was able to get Adams Publishing to resend the book. They shipped it September 5th, and I received it Wednesday.
The reason I choose this book, was because, well…truth be told, I cannot imagine myself dating a younger man. I have an early birthday, and refused to even look at guys who were a few months younger than me, and cursed the fact that I couldn’t have been born a few weeks earlier, which would then give me a really really late birthday. Thus giving me all the choices possible in my birth year!
Yes I’m nuts like that.
Anyway, my main reasoning behind not being able to date younger, is because I have a younger brother. Who is pretty close in age to I am. And with culture and such, if I married a younger man, it would be weird having my brother call my ‘husband’, ’sisters husband’. I know, I know. I’m crazy…or stupid…whichever you prefer. Other older married women I have talked to, say that I have not lived enough if I don’t even consider the younger men in my life, nor desperate enough to settle down!
So, I figured that this book would give me another view to try and eliminate my weird views on the Younger Man. Unfortunately…the read isn’t going very well. I am NOT happy with the views of the writer…and have issues with her contradictions. Though she does present certain ideas quite well…I have issues with like the other 80% of the book so far.
But I am not even half way into the book…so maybe things will look up…
(AHHHH so annoyed… I want THIS book, but I just recently claimed another, and well I have to write the review for this book before being allowed to claim another!!!! NOOOOOOOO *cries in her corner*)
I have determined that I am in fact, having a bad reaction to the Start to Finish Fair Rice Finishing Powder from EDM. Through there is no real loss for me.
I found that this did not do anything for my oil control at all! Even when I tried the Sandwich method of application. Anyway I use this one in awhile when the weather feels like I’m going to be slick as a greased frying pan. But I had also noticed that once in awhile my face, primarily the central region would ITCH like no tomorrow! But if I scratch, then it would scratch away the Foundation I carefully applied, so I would just stab my skin with my nails to ease the itch. Eventually, through reducing, and trying out my facial decorations one by one, I was able to narrow it down to the STF powder.
Such a disappointment :(
But the other disappointment was…that I cannot wear EDM foundation in the summer at all! It ended up shifting way too much, and disappearing into nothingness way too easily. And the reapplications were becoming a hassle in my daily routine. It may be the fact that I am using the intensive formula…but I will try again in the winter, when I am not as oily as I am during the summers.
So for now, Buff’d completely rules my world in terms of summer foundation and coverage.
In other EDM news, I tried to use BubbleTea eyeshadow. I got it as a freebie when I made one of my orders. Except…I look SOOOO weird wearing it! I can’t rock this weird blue…plus it isn’t as pigmented as some of their other colours…so it was rather difficult to get a decent colour coverage.
I have no idea how I should use it…seems like SUCH a waste…maybe I will reserve it for special outings, when I need an extra spunky look, and use it wet to underline my eyes?? :(
Ugh! So I lost my phone between Woodbury Commons, NY, and Home (being Canada.) That was 2 weeks ago. I am still phoneless.
Now why am I still phoneless? Because I was trying to decide whether or not to get the iphone, or stick with the SE K850i. Then I figured that I really couldn’t afford to spend an extra 30+ dollars in phone bills for the iphone and its data plan, so I called in to do a hardware upgrade for the SE. Unfortunately for me, because I am on a retention plan, to buy that phone, would cost me $300! That is WITH a discount of $100 something dollars, and a resigning of a 3 year contract. I was NOT amused, mainly because new activations can get this phone with a 3-year-term for $100. It seemed highly unfair. But because the phone was not instock anyway, (I called in), the CS was unable to do anything else for me. He suggested I get the Crackberry. But I can’t get myself to do that one either.
I figured I could just borrow a crap phone from a friend for the time being, and just get them to send me a Sim Card. So he goes, “Alright, then we will charge the $40 dollars to your account.”
EXCUSE ME! I looked it up on the Rogers website, and it said that Sim Cards were $25. So I told him that he must be mistaken, because that is what I read on the site. Then he says that that was the old price, and that this is the new price, that they probably just didn’t update the website. (Which is HIGHLY likely, they don’t really…it is rather poor in terms of clarification.)
So basically, had I gotten a new phone, with a new SIM, and activation, it would cost me roughly $375 PLUS 13% taxes.
Yeah…there is no way I’m doing that. So I have to research the SIM cards being sold on Ebay, and ask around. Then I have to try and find a used phone on HowardForums or RFD’s.
This is such a hassle.
So note to self. DON’T LOSE YOUR PHONE!!!
Note to self again…
Don’t write whiney ranting posts on your blog…End of note…
